SUMMARY:Snowdonia Half Marathon
DESCRIPTION:A scenic but tough Half Marathon set in the beautiful Snowdonia National Park\, North Wales\, starting and finishing in the village of Llanrwst which played host to the World Trail Running Championships in 2013. The park is a region of haunting beauty and grandeur\, of wild rocky mountains\, hidden valleys\, cascading rivers\, still glacial lakes and deep forests. 2017 sees the 6th running of this very scenic race\, there were 600 runners who took part in the 2016 race\, feedback suggests everyone enjoyed the race with lots of comments about the tough hills\, but they said that it made the course a challenge and gave them a sense of achievement.

DESCRIPTION:20 lovely gardens in the beautiful Conwy valley open for one day every 2 years. Old established gardens\, new gardens\, restored gardens\, fantastic views in these lovely villages. The valley is famous for its spring displays of rhododendrons and azaleas and there is so much more. Come along for a great day out and explore. There is also a scarecrow festival with scarecrows around the village. Free parking on the village playing fields and tickets\, maps and information from the village hall. There is a free shuttle service to some of the outlying gardens. There will be plant sales\, 2 cafés and 2 pubs all serving refreshments. The village hall and playing fields are wheelchair accessible.
