Conwy Pirate Weekend

Come rain or shine Conwy Pirate Weekend will take place on the 25th & 26th June 2016! For those of the crew who weren’t there, previous years were a “mite damp” weekends.

Thousands of hearty pirate supporters turned up and in spite of the weather to see the Brotherhood attack the quay. However the stout yeoman and sailors of the Militia and Navy were awaiting them, drove ‘em back with volleys of sharp cannon fire an chased them with an armed longboat.

Some of the good folk who attended the event retreated into the comfort of the town’s coffee houses and taverns. Others entered into the spirit of the events on the quayside and took part in the races, sampled the fine hog roast and inspected the smugglers market! The entertainments continued into the evenings in the alehouses and taverns of the town.
