Anglesey Oyster Festival

Anglesey is proud to host an annual Oyster & Welsh Produce Festival. A full programme of events is planned for the annual festival which is held at the Trearddur Bay Hotel, Trearddur Bay. It is a very different event from what it was in  the early years. It used to be an informal social event whereby vast amounts of local oysters & alcohol were consumed – Served with a strong music, singing and a Welsh and Irish dance offer. A  committee of volunteers was formed in 2000 to direct the event into the future. The aim was to broaden the appeal for non seafood lovers, and as a result a ‘Welsh Produce  Festival’ was introduced in 2000.
